Terms of Use

Effective date: October 3, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Next Move (the "Service"), a psychology-informed message coaching app for dating and relationships. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Next Move is

Next Move provides message coaching and relationship communication guidance. You can describe a situation or upload a screenshot of your own conversation, and the Service offers a reading of the communication dynamics — such as tone, interest, timing, and tension — along with suggested reply options and coaching to help you communicate with more composure, clarity, and self-respect.

2. What Next Move is not

Next Move is not therapy, counseling, medical or mental-health care, legal advice, or crisis support, and it is not a substitute for any of those. It does not diagnose or treat any condition.

If you are in crisis, in danger, or experiencing abuse, contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline in your region immediately. If a relationship is affecting your mental health, please speak with a qualified professional.

3. Acceptable use

Next Move is built to give you insight into your own communication — never leverage over another person. You agree that you will not use the Service to:

  • harass, threaten, intimidate, shame, or abuse any person;
  • pressure or coerce anyone, or attempt to make someone act against their will;
  • locate, follow, observe, or keep tabs on another person, or attempt to access their accounts, devices, or private information;
  • contact or attempt to contact someone who has blocked you or clearly asked not to be contacted, or otherwise bypass someone's stated boundaries;
  • blackmail, extort, or threaten to expose private information about anyone;
  • take advantage of anyone's vulnerability, including intoxication, distress, financial hardship, or dependence;
  • involve minors in any romantic or sexual context;
  • violate any applicable law.

The Service includes an automated safety layer that may refuse requests inconsistent with these rules. Attempting to circumvent it is a violation of these Terms. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

4. Your responsibility

Next Move offers suggestions — you decide what to send and what to do. You are solely responsible for the messages you send, the actions you take, and the outcomes of your relationships and interactions. Only submit content you have the right to share; when you upload a conversation, you confirm it is your own conversation, voluntarily provided by you.

5. AI-generated content

Analyses and suggested replies are generated by artificial intelligence. AI output can be imperfect, incomplete, or wrong, and cannot fully understand context, history, or intent. Treat every suggestion as a starting point, apply your own judgment, and never rely on the Service for decisions with legal, medical, financial, or safety consequences.

6. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and be at least 17 years old (or the age of digital consent in your region, whichever is higher). You are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → "Delete account & data" — deletion is permanent.

7. Subscriptions and billing

  • Free access: includes a limited lifetime analysis allowance. The current allowance is shown in the app.
  • Standard Case: a one-time consumable purchase for one Standard analysis. A Standard report includes Normal analysis, five Dark lenses, a deterministic Power Dynamic, recommendations, reply options, and the case's displayed follow-up allowance.
  • Weekly Pro and Monthly Pro: auto-renewing subscriptions with bounded recurring Standard Case allowances shown in the app. They do not provide unlimited use. Monthly introductory offers appear only when the App Store confirms eligibility.
  • Deep Analysis: a separate one-time product only when it is explicitly offered in the app. It is not included secretly in Standard analysis. If it is unavailable, no Deep purchase control is shown.
  • Legacy subscriptions: previously purchased plans, including annual plans, may continue to be recognised for their existing subscribers but are not offered to new customers.
  • Billing: payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. Subscription management is provided via RevenueCat; Apple or Google processes all payments.
  • Auto-renewal: your subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Cancellation: cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • Free trials / introductory offers: if a trial or introductory price applies, it is shown at checkout before you pay; unless cancelled, it converts to a paid subscription at the displayed price.
  • Restore purchases: use "Restore purchases" to recover eligible purchases for the same authenticated Next Move account. Purchases are not deliberately transferred between unrelated Next Move accounts.
  • Refunds: handled by Apple or Google under their store policies.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, software, and branding, belongs to us or our licensors. You retain ownership of the content you submit; you grant us a limited license to process it solely to provide the Service to you. You may use the analyses and suggested replies for your own personal, non-commercial use.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, particularly the acceptable-use rules in Section 3. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for the outcomes of your communications and relationships. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
