Not every situation needs the same kind of analysis. Normal and Dark examine the same conversation from different strategic perspectives. You can select the mode that best matches the situation and run another analysis later if you want a contrasting interpretation.
Normal
Balanced, evidence-based analysis focused on communication, intent, uncertainty and constructive next steps. Normal examines the complete interaction without automatically assuming manipulation, hostility or hidden motives. It is designed to help you understand both sides, distinguish evidence from interpretation and choose a response that supports clear, confident communication.

Dark
A far more adversarial analysis of strategy, power dynamics and risk. Dark challenges surface-level explanations and looks for leverage, concealed incentives, manipulation, status contests, strategic withdrawal, testing, pressure and attempts to control the direction of an interaction. It draws on principles associated with conflict strategy, negotiation, power, influence, counter-moves and classical strategic thinking. Dark is direct, unsentimental and prepared to examine the interpretations that Normal may consider too speculative without stronger evidence.

Best for

Light
A cautious adversarial review. Identifies possible inconsistencies, pressure and strategic behaviour while retaining substantial weight for innocent explanations.
Focused
A firmer examination of leverage, incentives and changes in investment. Useful when something feels wrong but the evidence remains incomplete.
Strong
A direct analysis of power, manipulation risks, strategic positioning and likely competing agendas. Less benefit of the doubt is given to repeated contradictions.
Severe
An aggressive stress test of the interaction. Examines how the situation could look if the other person is acting strategically, withholding information or exploiting emotional leverage.
Extreme
The most ruthless available interpretation. Applies maximum adversarial scrutiny to power, motive, vulnerability, deception risk and strategic counter-moves. This level is intentionally severe — its strongest conclusions must be presented as hypotheses unless supported by clear evidence.
Higher intensity does not mean higher certainty. Dark levels change the severity of the analytical lens, not the underlying facts.
