This Privacy Policy explains how Next Move ("we", "us") handles information when you use our mobile application and this website. Personal conversations deserve serious protection, and this policy — and the app itself — is built around that principle.
Information we collect
We collect the information you provide directly, such as account details, the conversation content you choose to submit (screenshots or written descriptions), your selected analysis mode, and your preferences (including language). We also collect limited technical and usage data — such as app version, device type and diagnostic logs — to keep the service reliable and secure. If you subscribe or make a purchase, that transaction is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play under their respective privacy terms.
How we handle screenshots
A screenshot you upload is read once to extract the conversation, then discarded. It is not written to disk, a database or object storage — only the extracted text is kept for your session. Any saved sessions store the resulting text-based analysis and the context you choose to keep, not a permanent copy of the original images.
Encryption and storage
Conversation transcripts and your drafts are encrypted (field-level) before they touch the database. Sessions are visible only to your account, and we apply access controls designed to protect your information during processing and storage. No system can guarantee absolute security, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.
AI processing disclosure
The situations and conversations you voluntarily submit are processed by trusted AI providers — including Google Gemini for screenshot reading, Anthropic Claude for coaching, and OpenAI for a safety check — solely to generate your analysis. This content is not sold, and it is not used to train third-party AI models.
A safety layer, always on
Requests involving surveillance, contacting someone who has said no, threats or coercion are refused and redirected. This applies to both Normal and Dark analysis. Next Move is designed for communication support, not harassment, stalking, exploitation or abuse.
Your rights and controls
You can review and manage your saved sessions from within the app, and you can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time — see our Delete Account page for step-by-step instructions, or contact support.nextmovehelp@gmail.com. We will act on verified deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe.
Children's privacy
Next Move is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
International data transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than the one in which you live. Where this occurs, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place consistent with this Policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where changes are significant, provide additional notice.
